Hey Glitz fans...I'm excited to share some ideas about using all of the AWESOME new Glitz washi tapes that were released at CHA last month. As far as 'product that offers the most bang for your paper crafting buck', my vote would have to go to a roll of washi tape!!
First off, a layout I made with elements from the Uncharted Waters collection...which I am head over heels for. Sometimes collections with a nautical feel can be a bit masculine, but this one has just the right touches to offset that.
I used washi tape 5 different ways on this layout, and I still had more ideas brewing...but forced myself to stop. In the photo below, I ripped off a piece of the teal hearts washi and used it to hide the plain edge of the pink patterned paper. The great thing about Glitz washi is that it has a fairly low tack, so you can sew right through it without gumming up the needle on your machine. Then I applied a piece of the 'Choose Happiness' tape to the top of my photo...super fast way to add a subtitle. ;)
Next I snipped some tails into a piece of the woodgrain tape to make the ends look like a banner...after sticking it down to my journal card, I added the giant anchor rhinestone to the center. Along the bottom of the pink patterned paper, I ripped several pieces to hide the raw edge again. This time, I also added some of the navy tiny alphabet stickers to add another subtitle. Since the washi tape is nice and thin, it layers easily without looking too busy.

Here are 2 more coming your way!
;)
For this simple card, I needed something to hide the seam between the teal paper on the left and the rainbow stripe. After applying the yellow anchor washi to some plain white cardstock, I punched a scalloped border along the edge of it. Also, notice those colored hearts on top of the woodgrain heart? More washi + white cardstock + heart shaped punch. Easy peasy!
The sentiment on the card is from one of the Color Me Happy journal cards...it started out plain white, but I just dipped a paint brush into some aqua mist and pretended I was using water colors. Love how it came out!
