Last Call...July edition!!

who doesn't love a good deal?!
and i mean a GOOD deal.
like...ALL Take Note AND Abroad items are available NOW right HERE in the LAST CALL SECTION!!
(excludes some veneer, Mister Huey's and masks)
Here is a layout I made using bits of Take Note, Abroad and Classic Calico Vol.2 :)
Looks like lots of detail, but when you start with the base paper from Classic Calico 2 and cut the little spaces between the circles with your favorite Fingertip Craft Knife...it doesn't take long at all!

I then punched circles from different papers in the collections and layered them onto the base paper/circles...adding veneer here, a stamped phrase there. you get the idea ;)
To celebrate the Last Call items, I'm giving away a Classic Calico Vol. 2 Collection pack...just post a comment here and I'll choose a winner Sunday evening after 6PM EST.

***don't forget...Last Call items ship FREE with your July kit/Shop items...WOOHOO!!***

Elmwood Park Reveal.

Elmwood Park, Studio Calico's July kit is live and full of plenty of products to get you in the mood to scrap...also live is the BRAND NEW Studio Calico Digi Shop!! Each month, there will be brushes (that mimic the stamps for the month!), cut files for your Silhouette and printables that coordinate with the kits...available ONLY for 1 MONTH, until the next kit is revealed.

it just keeps getting better at SC...what can i say?!

here is my Main Kit only layout...also the one I chose to use to participate in one of our long-time member's challenges for our 5th Anniversary. This challenge was offered up by Denise Nichols...aka, DeniseN on the SC boards. She has been around SC for as long as I can remember, and I am very fortunate to consider her a friend. Thanks for the inspo, Denise...love you. :)

The challenge (which can be seen here on the SC blog) was a prompt: 'in 5 years...'. When we received word about these challenges, we had just gone to Allie's end of year awards ceremony for her honors classes at school...and it had me thinking. 5 years from RIGHT NOW, we will be celebrating my sweet girl's high school graduation.

holy. moly.

after catching my breath (not kidding), i sat down to make this layout.
this next one is a simple statement of fact.
if she's awake, she's texting.
love the photo :)

moving on to a few cards. if i have an occasion, i always like to use my kits to whip one up...and this one was made for a special friend who has been on my mind. the 'hey girl' banner is one of the digi cut files...you get 3 for $1.29!!
This one is for my girl. saving it for sometime in the future when she may have a rough day...a reminder that she needs to find her OWN groove to keep succeeding. the little October Afternoon diecuts reminded me of gears, and so i put them together with brads :)
finally, a profession of love for patterned paper.
there were too many of them that i loved...so i cut out this word with my Silhouette and used bits of them. 10 different papers in all. the phrase was perfect for a snapshot i got of these 4 cousins recently.
don't forget...you only have a few more days to sign up for the Summer Stamp Class. You get an exclusive set of stamps (you can see bits of them in my previous post, or the full monty on the SC site HERE), a ton of layouts/cards/tips and access to the class content forever.

before i forget :)
lots of people asked on Instagram and via email where the fun cassette tape diecut came from in my previous post...the layout i made for the Summer Stamp Class.
this is them!!
available HERE!!

enjoy your week!

the word above was cut with a file i purchased in the Silhouette store...more to come on that ;)

Studio Calico: HeyDay Arrival Party :)

It's here...SC's new mid-release is now available in the Shop!!
Welcome, Heyday :)
Sharing a bit of love for some of my favorite bits from this collection...the stamps, die cuts and wood veneer are (as always) PERFECTION!
I mean come on...a 'Keep calm' stamp?? A thought bubble stamp?! So many cool phrases in the sets AND my fave alpha of all time, the Stepping Stone alpha has reemerged!! (AND THERE IS A BRAND NEW SET OF NUMBER STAMPS TO MATCH IT...ONLY AVAILABLE AT SC!!) Also, the mistable Camera Thickers are so dang cute I want to use them on everything...which is cool, because you get 2 sheets of them in a pack ;)
I knew EXACTLY what i wanted to do with the wood veneer typewriters...type a wee note and have it come out of the top!
you could write ANYTHING on a little scrap of paper and 'feed' it into there...love it.
I punched leftover bits from the layout i made above to make the confetti and used this spray adhesive to adhere it to white cardstock...WHEN IT DRIES IT IS COMPLETELY NOT STICKY!! so, so cool.
Super simple card, but lots of fun...the smaller scale of the 6x6 paper pad worked like a charm ;)
Still waiting to get my hands on the frame stickers and 12x12 stickers...they should be in the shop by the end of June.

Stock up on HeyDay while you can...remember, the Mister Huey colors for this line won't last forever!!
