i love this kit.
there.i said it.:)
jumping right in...

My Main kit only layout above...after we dropped Allie off at her Valentine's formal, i sat right down and uploaded photos i had snapped of her all dressed up. Mike happened to walk in, and said:
'
hey. how funny is that? you took the same picture of her right before her 2nd grade Valentine's dance, remember?'.uh, no.
i didn't remember.
but i started DIGGING through photo files on this computer.
and there it was.
5 years before, same spot. same brick wall. same girlie.
just...wow.
i love that he remembered.the bicycle stamps from the Main were PERFECT...kind of showing a progression from tricycle to big kid bike (aka, wee babe to mature young lady). the stencil 'A' was cut from the Jenni Bowlin paper, and I inked it with Teal Damask chalk ink before spritzing some Huey Shine on it. Arrows welded together and cut with the Cameo, as was the heart circle border.
i may or may not have shed a tear putting this one together.
this one uses a pic from one of our 'Girls Day Out' adventures...she is so like me, not necessarily in her appearance, but her manner is all learned from her mama. her gestures. her expressions. her delivery of a joke. her sensitivity. her tendency to open herself up just a wee bit too much, thus allowing for a bit of heartache.
the sports stuff?
that's all Dad lol.
but her heart is 100% me.i discovered how PERFECTLY the Cameo will cut vellum for this page...
see the previous post where i outlined a super easy way to make your own Polaroid frame with a welded shape. how perfect is the 'potty girl' shape at the top right corner of the frame?! (
even made her a yellow sequined skirt heehee)
aaah...my 'therapeutic' layout lol. i spritzed some Huey White on that circle doily mask and went to TOWN with my Fiskars Fingertip knife, baby. it actually didn't take that long either...maybe 25-30 minutes to cut it all out? arrows cut with the Cameo again.

this last one is proof that:
A. the Pacifico font is 10 kinds of awesome and works for nearly everything imaginable.
B. vellum is BACK.
C. if you go slow enough with your sewing machine, and hand turn the wheel instead of using the foot pedal, pretty awesome stitching can happen.
oh.
and i am in LOVE with sequins.hoping to see more of those.always looking for a fun embellishment that doesn't bulk up a page too much.
Don't forget, only a few more days to register for the
