for a million different reasons.
i'm in love with the photo of my two yahoos.
I love the number tape that I picked up for a STEAL on Etsy that you see at the top of the page.
The colors are so 'me'.
It is 'clean'/simple/graphic-ish.
I had fun making it.
:)
(
That last one is something I'm striving for more often these days.)
So...onto the how-to.

I've been eager to play with the new
Studio Calico CHA release...and carved some time out yesterday to do just that. I only have the papers as of now, but they are some of their best yet (
definitely the most 'me', i think) and for sure the most versatile. I am in LOVE with the Classic Calico Volume 2 line...especially the greys. The scale on the papers is great, and I really just can't say enough.
So I grabbed the Encircled paper to start. It is white with light grey circles all over that were begging to be filled. (
I already know this will be one of my most used papers ever. I'm confessing it ahead of time, lol.) I cut a 6x6" piece and cut out the in between spots of the circles with my
FAVORITE Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife.
PSA re: this knife. At $5, it is a steal. It is the ONLY craft/X-acto knife I have ever felt 100% comfortable using because of how it sits in your hand.
You need it. Period.
This took about 15 minutes maybe? And I answered a few texts in between...so probably more like 12 minutes. :)
Next I used my 1.25" circle punch, which fits the circles on the Encircled paper PERFECTLY, and punched the Newsprint paper. This gave me a cool thin black rim to the circles, which makes them stand out, don't you think? After that, I used my 1" circle punch and randomly cut bits of different papers from both Abroad & Take Note. I left a few blank, and stamped on them with the phrase from the Air Mail stamp set. Added a few circles that I punched from the Gold POW glitter paper, a few wood veneer asterisks and my simple title cut with my Cameo.

Like I said, I love this one.
I think I may want to sit it out so I can see it every day...and I've NEVER done that, lol.
